After 1.5 years of watching craigslist I found a wells-index 745 down in washington state in a custom motorcycle shop. 23/04/2018 Old thread, I know, but I'm looking for a small mill and wondering about the model 40 footprint - the catalog page posted states 46" front to back. Any owners out there that can confirm that? Seems like an awful lot for a small machine that has the motor up top. Also, other than the column, can the pieces of a model 40 be carried by two people? The knee looks a bit heavy.
